Check out these special events happening this holiday season in Lombard. The local Lombard Parks District hosts most of them, and it’s a fun way to come together as a community!
Dress your best, grab your dad and head to this popular event. Dads and daughters will dance the night away, play games and enjoy a yummy dessert table. Don’t be surprised if a jolly guest makes a special appearance! Be sure to order a corsage and have it waiting for you at the dance!
Jingles, the reindeer invites you to join the Lombard Park District, Village of Lombard, Helen Plum Library, Calvary Episcopal Church, and many more local businesses to enjoy the sights of the season.
Jingles the reindeer is looking for some of the most festive and creative houses in Lombard! People can register their houses in this decorating contest to help bring some holiday spirit to Lombard. Participating houses will be added to our Holiday Lights Map so that people can drive around town and take in the sights of the holidays. Houses entered in the contest will be voted on by the community and winning houses will receive a prize! Along the route, see if you can spot Jingles himself as local businesses and organizations have decorated him for the holidays. Please note: registration for the contest will be online-only. Participating houses must have their lights turned on each night beginning at 4:30 pm for the duration of the contest.
There are some elves on the loose in Lombard! Sign your household up to be “elfed” this holiday season! Each registered household will be surprised with a sweet and festive candy cane hunt placed in their front yard during the week of 12/15 – 12/22. People will receive a phone call to let them know when the house is being “elfed” so they can be on the lookout. A yard sign will be placed in each people yard notifying them who they have been “elfed” by. Please note: this event is limited to Lombard Park District and Village of Lombard residents only.
Enjoy Lombard Park District’s annual holiday lights display in Lilacia Park! Charming holiday displays illuminate the park from 4:30 – 10:00 pm each night with magical light shows, tree decorations, a gingerbread house and so much more!
